Whether you’re new to the dance world, or you’re a veteran dance studio owner, you will have probably come across the saying “the place they start is the place they stay”.

What this simply means is that if a child starts at your dance studio when they are young, they are most likely to stick with your studio for life.

The reason why this is so important is because it can mean real exponential growth for your dance business.

This is how it works:

Many children are ready to begin dance lessons between 3-5 years old and usually they'll attend 1 dance class per week. By the time they’re 6-8 years old, they coming 2 times per week. As they get older this can increase to 3 to 5 times per week, and if they become a very advanced student, it could translate into over 10 hours per of dance instruction per week at your studio (or more)!

So, focusing on attracting parents of young children to join your studio when they can lead to potentially over a decade of instruction at your studio.

The fact of the matter is: “the place they start is the place they stay”. It’s critical to your success!

Happy Dancing!
